October 2014 F[route] Brekky

October 2014 F[route] Brekky

Food is the glue that allows people of all nations and cultures to come together openly.

Tasting delicious dishes handed down from generation to generation, just created or worked on over a long period by trial and error or just put together on the spur of the moment by people who love food, has a special meaning.

Food brings people together by feeding more than the body. Because to appreciate food you have to taste and to taste it must be shared and your opinion of it's taste and meaning to you can then be voiced. The smell of a country kitchen, a grandmothers favourite dish, something that was a child's delight and special treat.

Versatile Apples

The f[route] breakfast gatherings are like that, sharing of food and opinion of food and ideas on just about every subject freely and willingly.

With good food and a warm or hot beverage in hand, people move round and talk to anyone who happens to be free to do so. In an atmosphere of well being, friendly sharing, reminiscing, querying and learning something more about each other.

A camaraderie which may only last while in the presence of and the food lasts. Nevertheless an interesting moment in time.

It is a taste of different food and conversation and most participants walk to their cars and drive back into their lives with the thought. This was good.

A Lovely Day in October 2014

A pleasant, sunny day working at the Cassilis recreation reserve and we had some welcome visitors to the Cassilis cemetery.

Ross and Meredith enjoying
the sunshine at Cassilis

Ross and Meredith wandered round it's precincts and made the most of the day and arguably the best day we have had this season so far.

They chose the day well, and we hope they enjoyed the sunshine, though they probably would have enjoyed it more had we not been making a noise as we worked in the recreation reserve.

We also have to make the most of the best days, and there are a couple of functions scheduled for the Recreation Reserve so we are trying to get some pending things done.

It's a busy time of year. Spring is always lovely. Though in truth, every season and every day of each of these has a special appeal at the location Ross and Meredith visited today.
